When the debt buyer can’t produce the original creditor’s records, subpoena the original creditor directly. FRCP 45 (or your state equivalent) authorizes pro-se subpoenas with clerk issuance. You can read through the wizard now; it produces the document once its rules are reviewed by a licensed attorney.
